The One Room Concept
The emerging future is green, local, lateral and colaborative.
There is a whole new world opening for architects who engage themselves in sustainable design.
Those who dont will become the dinosaurs of the profession.

We design stunning interiors using the principles of sustainability.
Our aim is to use interior design to change our values.
We design using materials that are good for us, good for society and good for the planet.
We want to avoid creating waste.
We want to make a difference to our designed world.
We think global and act local.
The Concept behind One Room is to design interiors where the Functional, Physical and Aesthetic decisions are reached by giving ECONOMIC, ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOSIAL criteria equal weight.
Using these three criteria when reaching decisions about the quality of the inside environment, the materials used and the type of energy needed will effect the look of the interior. These new and aesthetically different interiors will wake the curiosity of the user and the underlying story of sustainability will give an added value to the interior itself.
We aim to create a new fresh sustainable look that is a result of using a different set of premisses and the raw creativity of the design team who address design from a different angle.
The business model behind One Room is to build partnerships with other designers, architects, suppliers, consultants and of course clients who have the same interest in creating interiors that are cool and sustainable. For larger projects One Room has a cooperation agreement with one of the largest interior design offices in Norway.
