Bamboo Kitchen - Vindfangerveien 26, Drøbak

Slow Kitchen
The SLOW kitchen project was a project with the norwegian branch of the Danish Kitchen Company KVIK
We designed the kitchen using KVIKS design tools and then removed all the chip board (10% formaldehyde based glue) and laminate elements.
The cupboards were then made from painted ply wood (2% glue) and Bamboo sheets bought in 2,4 X 1,2 m sheets. For the bench in the wet area of the kitchen we used black granite and for the island for serving and food preparation we used solid oak. We avoided chrome cupboard handles and used mechanical fixings where possible which means most of the materials can be re-used or recycled when they are no longer required
